Modern & Inspiring Spaces
¦ Tisch Field House is a gorgeous 30,000 square-foot facility with two multi-purpose courts used for basketball, volleyball, tennis, and many other activities. Tisch Field House also contains Suffield’s extensive athletic training room, four squash courts, a conference room used for team meetings and film study, and offices for athletics department staff.
¦ Ap Seaverns Athletic Center is the site of Perry Gymnasium, Andy Lowe Pool with large glass windows, Kinne Court [used for varsity girls’ and boys’ basketball], a spacious fitness center with cardio and weight training equipment, the Ulrich Squash Courts, Suffield’s rowing center with state-of-the-art rowing tanks and ergonomic machines, Alex Steinmann ’87 boys’ locker room, and the girls’ athletic locker room. In addition, our newly constructed performance center is a 4,800-square-foot space that enables teams to train together. Equipment includes weights, drive sleds, plyo boxes, turf training space, five power racks with bench presses and platforms, and three Keiser functional trainers.
¦ The David R. Holmes ’60 Turf Field is used for lacrosse, soccer, and football and is surrounded by Meade Alcorn Track for track & field events. Shay Turf Field is used for field hockey, soccer, and lacrosse. Both turf fields are illuminated by LED lights for our infamous night games. The Barry Cleary Baseball Field and Rachel Carey Softball Field both have new dugouts. These fields are all located close to Bell Hill so that athletes can carry forth Suffield’s infamous tradition of ringing the Bell after a victory.
¦ New tennis courts are under construction, and facilities for skiing, snowboarding, and golf are available nearby.
