For College Reps

Suffield is a rigorous secondary school with a strong boarding community very focused on leadership and personal development in our students. We are conveniently located in North Central Connecticut between Hartford and Springfield, Massachusetts. Bradley International Airport is just a few miles down the road from our traditional New England campus.

We welcome visits from admissions representatives in both the fall (early September through October 31) and spring (April and May). Visits at Suffield last about one hour and begin with a 30-minute group meeting with any interested students followed by a brief sit-down with one of our five college counselors.

Visits are held in the Hoffman College Counseling Center which is housed in Fuller Hall. Parking is available along the street in front of the school. Representatives can check in with the receptionist in Fuller Hall and someone will be up to greet you. Visits can be arranged via SCOIR or by contacting Marlene Rusczyk [see below]. Please consider visiting Suffield if you plan to be in the area.

In addition to individual college visits, Suffield Academy participates in an annual college fair known as HAISSCCA (Hartford Area Independent Secondary School College Counselors Association). This fair is rotated amongst our seven member schools as an opportunity not only for our students, but for admissions representatives to experience our individual campuses. The HAISSCCA College Fair is well attended and a highlight of our junior year programs. The next fair is scheduled to be held at Suffield Academy in April 2025.
