About S. Kent Legare Library

The library is the school’s primary academic resource center. It houses a collection of approximately 20,000 print, audiovisual, and web-based subscription services. The library subscribes to approximately 100 magazines and seven daily newspapers and provides access to online subscription resources such as JSTOR, ProQuest’s Historical Newspapers, CQ Research, Annals of American History, and many more.

Our library is a quiet place for students to study, read, and relax. Lists of new books and DVDs are posted on the library’s website at least once a month. Students are encouraged to stop by regularly to check out featured displays, including our popular READ posters featuring Suffield's faculty. Audiovisual equipment is available for loan from the library and students are encouraged to take advantage of our collection of digital cameras and video cameras, projectors, DVDs, and CDs.

The library's web-based catalog (e-library) can be accessed remotely to check for material availability. You may also search the Suffield digital catalog here.
