An important element of Suffield Academy’s Leadership Program, members of the school’s sophomore class plan and execute service projects each spring.
Past activities included volunteer cleanup efforts at Hilltop Farm, landscaping and organizational projects around campus, and teaching group and individual leadership skills to local students at Intermediate and Montessori schools. Students learn how to work together to accomplish collective goals for classmates and for those outside the Suffield Academy community.
Studying leadership is important because it teaches students to broaden their horizons, gives them more confidence, and provides an outlet to discover themselves and their passions. These are the qualities necessary to be successful in life.
