We launched ClubsHELP on Fox and Friends this past Friday morning with my client, professional golfer Ernie Els, to connect golf and country clubs and their members around the world “Adopt a Hospital” in need within their local communities to help front-line workers with supplies, PPE equipment, and meals in their fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Feel free to go to our website at ClubsHelp.org and please follow our social handles on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook at @Clubshelp.

The Federal Reserve Bank of new York went to a work from home posture on March 11. Thankfully, JPMorgan where my partner Gerardo works did the same thing. The ext day we relocated to East Hampton and have been here ever since. This is the longest we have been in residence here; not to mention longest continuous time of intense co-habitation. All jokes aside, going through this alone would be much more difficult. Work has been very busy with each new monetary policy program being introduced. I had been working from East Hampton occasionally in the past and am thrilled that I had already tackled the logistics around setting-up my workspace. I did order and just received a new fat bike to ride on the beach and am looking forward to reincorporating more fitness-minded things into my routine. In closing, I send you warm regards and good health. Be strong!

We are all doing well here in Ohio. I am an essential worker and helped on the logistics end of the supply chain during quarantine. We flew medical supplies amongst other cargo from China , Asia, and all over the world. I’m a pilot with Kalitta Air on the B747 and was very busy. Hope the Suffield community is doing well.

I have changed my responsibility from Foreign Minister to Defense Minister. The Special Unit of the Self Defense Forces of Japan is leading to fight against the virus in many places. For example, our unit went into the Diamond Princess to save the lives of passengers and crews on board. In the photos I am demonstrating how to decontaminate a tank with chemicals.

It is with great pride to announce my daughter Laurel, a member of the not-to-be forgotten Suffield Academy Class of 2020, graduated. She was inducted into the Torch Society and awarded the George G. Pervear Unsung Student Award. Although the Commencement ceremony was streamed online, we took a ride to campus so she could ceremoniously ring the Bell. Esse Quam Videri.

Hi, Suffield family! All is well here in Atlanta. My husband Robert sells to schools so his work has slowed down a bit, but I’m blessed that my biggest clients haven’t been badly impacted so far—game developers and back-end Zoom technology. What a blessing, I could ever have planned for that. My training and development consultancy has been growing in recent years and I’m enjoying growing my skills as part of that. Ginger is a great “coworker” and here we are taking a break from sales calls and project management. Praying safety, health, and peace to all of you.

My husband Terry, our twin daughters Lucy and Kathleen, and I are well but have remained in Florida since spring vacation. I have been able to distance teach at St. Luke’s school 8th-grade algebra classes remotely. My twin daughters Lucy and Kathleen are juniors there and have been distance learning. Sadly, our girls’ varsity tennis season was canceled! We hope everyone in the Suffield community is healthy and well.

To combat the COVID-19 induced monotony, we created various “theme nights” in the Burton household. This photo is from ’80’s night: Lauren ’22, Leslie, me ’89, and Elise in the Def Leppard T-shirt.

Things here have been a bit crazy. I work for the state school for the Deaf, which is also a state agency. Our school is home to students aged 0-22 with about half who normally live with us during the week. We sent our students home on March 19 for spring break and they did not return. Like most schools we are trying to instruct all of our students who are now at home across the state as well as do outreach for on-student and families who are needing support during this time. We are 100% special education [all our students have hearing loss] which also means all of our students have an IEP that we must continue to work on providing related services through teletherapy—not an easy task. It is made more difficult by the communication barriers [not all parents know or are proficient in sign]. Just like Suffield, we are worried about our students, our families, and our communities.
