Athletic Performance CenterA 4,800-square-foot space that enables teams to train together. Equipment includes: weights, drive sleds, plyo boxes, turf training space, five power racks with bench presses and platforms, and three Keiser functional trainers.
Tisch Field HouseOur gorgeous 30,000 square-foot facility with two multi-purpose courts. Tisch Field House also contains Suffield’s extensive athletic training room, four squash courts, a conference room used for team meetings and film study, and offices for Suffield athletics department staff.
Kinne CourtOur newly designed court is located in the Ap Seaverns Athletic Center and is primarily used for basketball and volleyball.
Andy Lowe PoolOriginally constructed in 1966 with a wide deck space, one and three-meter boards, depth going to 12-feet and a large spectator gallery. In 2010 the swimming locker room was renovated, and the north wall with windows were replaced, dramatically increasing the amount of natural light that enters the pool area.
Barry Cleary Baseball FieldSuffield named its varsity baseball field after Barry Cleary, a long time retired faculty member and Suffield Academy parent.
David R. Holmes ’60 Turf FieldHolmes field has an organic, water-retaining infill called TPE and a shock pad underneath the turf. With LED lights for our infamous night games, it is used for lacrosse, soccer, and football.
The Hirschmann Tennis CourtsLocated on the east side of of campus, there are 10 hard-surfaced tennis courts with spectator viewing areas.
Crew Training RoomLocated in the Appleton Seaverns Athletic Center, Suffield’s crew facility includes state-of-the-art rowing tanks and ergonomic machines.
Athletic Training RoomLocated in the Appleton Seaverns Athletic Center, Suffield Academy is staffed with two full-time athletic trainers who are nationally certified and state licensed medical professionals.
