The boys’ varsity squash team traveled to Loomis for their preseason playday. Each member of the Tiger team (#1 – 8) played 2 games against his corresponding number opponents from Westminster, Avon Old Farms, Loomis, and Kingswood Oxford. Thus, each team member played 8 games total.
Last season’s team managed just a single game win in this event. This year’s squad faired much better. The team won 22 games overall. They went 4-12 vs Loomis and KO, 2-14 vs Westy, and 12-4 vs Avon.
Every member of the team, save one, won a game. #3 Eli Carpol ’26 posted the best record of the day at 6-2, while #8 Alex Suarez-Vargas ’26 also earned a winning record at 5-3.
Overall, it was a competitive and fun break to the typical practice. The team now has a week to prepare to host Trinity Pawling next Wednesday.
