In the second match of a home and home series on Saturday, Suffield defeated Wilbraham 8-1 to complete the sweep. All of the singles players won their matches as well as the 1st and 3rd doubles teams. Max Huang won in his first singles match of the season. Marcus Leung/ Xander Lin played excellently in their first official JV match. The 2nd doubles team of James di Bonaventura/ Henry H Cheng came from a few games behind to force a tiebreaker in an exciting match.

The JV Boys' tennis defeated Pomfret on Saturday 7-2. Among the highlights, Lucas Li didn't drop a game, and many players, including Brendan Tsui, Bax Henzell, Josh Poudrier, Jayden Poudrier, and Max Hu, as well as the doubles team of Sean Kwon/ MJ Choi played with consistency to force errors. Justin Park/ Arnick Eshtiaghi came within a tiebreaker of winning their 2nd doubles match.

A cold and windy day for tennis was the backdrop for a tension-filled JV boys' tennis match against Kingswood Oxford on Wednesday. Four tiebreakers were needed to decide individual matches, and the Tigers came within two tiebreakers of a team victory, ultimately losing 3-6. Special mention to Max Henzell for showing mental toughness in winning his tiebreaker, Max Haung for his confident groundstrokes, and the 1st doubles team of Sean Kwon/ MJ Choi for battling from a few games behind to force a tiebreaker and claim a win. Marcus Leung/ Xander Lin also played hard in their first exhibition match of the season, supported by a healthy cheering section.

On Saturday, Suffield JVB tennis traveled to Deerfield, and played on indoor courts, losing 1-8. Deerfield was only able to field 7 players, so their top players also played doubles matches, adding to the challenge. Brendan Tsui recorded the Tigers' lone victory at the 1st singles spot, negating his opponent's steady serving of slices with smart topspin placement. Sean Kwon battled in a close match in the 6th singles spot, as well as the doubles team of James di Bonaventura/ Xander Lin.
