We were excited to host Williston for our first match of the season. Matches were played using an 8-game pro set format for both singles and doubles. It was a beautiful day to compete on our new courts, and the Tigers earned a strong 6–1 victory. The girls performed well across the board.

On Wednesday, GJV Tennis hosted Wilbraham and Monson. Matches were played using an 8-game pro-set format for both singles and doubles. It was a beautiful day for a tennis match, and the Tigers earned a strong 6–1 victory. Katherine Wen played a notable match with several long rallies, and Kate and Esperanza played in their first match and won.

On Friday, GJV Tennis traveled to Cheshire for a late afternoon match. Matches were played using an 8-game pro-set format for both singles and doubles. The Tigers earned a strong 9-0 victory. Each player played well. We would like to extend a special thank you to Mrs. Henle for baking delicious brownies and muffins for our bus ride. They were a welcomed treat!

On Wednesday, the GJV tennis team traveled to Deerfield for an afternoon match in warm, almost summer-like conditions. It was a beautiful day to compete, and the Tigers put forth a strong effort across all courts. Although we did not come away with a win, many of the matches were tightly contested, with several games extending to deuce and showcasing the team’s resilience and determination.

Loss
On Wednesday, the GJV tennis team traveled to Hopkins for an afternoon match in windy, cold conditions. Despite the challenging weather, the girls competed well and remained focused against a strong opponent. While we didn’t come away with a win, many matches were tightly contested, with several games going to deuce. As always, I’m proud of the team’s sportsmanship and the respect they showed toward the Hopkins players throughout the match.
A special thank you to Campbell’s parents for coming out to support the team; we truly appreciate it!
Our next match is on Saturday, when we will host Westminster and celebrate our six seniors: Dani, Herrie, Julie, Katherine, Mette, and Sophia. The team is now 3-2.
