Team Overview
Suffield’s volleyball program works towards creating student athletes who like to be challenged both mentally and physically. Every practice session is focused on creating and maintaining a foundation of basic skills which are then used in games. Practices, in our newly renovated gymnasium, combine individual skill set training, technical instruction, scrimmages, fitness conditioning, and team building activities to reach athletes’ full potential.
Suffield Academy’s volleyball team was founded in 2002 and since then has grown to become one of the strongest in New England. The team has competed in the post season the past eight out of ten years.
We create a fun but focused environment that pushes athletes to strive for their potential. The team’s success is directly related to the hard work and commitment that each player individually exhibits. Our program is dedicated to encouraging each student athlete to contribute to the best of their ability while working toward the goals of the entire team.
