Suffield Academy’s 9th annual charity telethon was held on the evening of March 2. It showcased more than 30 performances. These included group acts by Suffield’s jazz band, faculty band, AVTS, postgraduates, and rock band, several also individual performances, dances from SADC, a roommate wars quiz event, sports tricks and highlights, and a student-produced short film.
The telethon is part of a series of events aimed at raising funds in support of a student-selected charity. This year’s charity is Help Hope Live, which assists six-year-old Adrian Diaz in his journey with Spinal Muscular Atrophy [Type 2]. This first began for him in March 2017, when he was just eighteen months old. Funds raised for his cause help pay for treatments, medications, and therapies not covered by insurance.
If you were unable to catch the show you can still watch our talented performers on the livestream and donate online.
