In the Ranks

Suffield Boys’ Swimming and Diving ranks 3rd in the nation among independent schools [with enrollment between 1-900]. In the annual NISCA [National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association] 2021-22 Dual Meet Power Point competition, Suffield’s boys’ team soared to a program all time best 3rd place, with Greenwich’s Brunswick School capturing the category. Phillips Andover and Phillips Exeter Academy each fared well in the group of Independent Schools with enrollment above 900 students.

For the competition, which requires depth across all events to be competitive nationally, teams submit their top three competitors’ times in each event in a high school dual meet format—limiting each competitor to two individual and two relay events—with each time given a point value. The following Tiger swimmers and divers contributed to Suffield’s total (5048 points]: Kellen Booth ’25, Connor Booth ’23, Ben Bryan ’23, Nicholas Prescott’24, John Rusnock ’25, Trent Hieber ’22, Nate Morrin ’23, Josh Mair ’24, Kristian Yan ’25, Tyler Cooper ’22, Chase Stevens ’23, Joe Guigliano ’24, Nico Menendez-Featherston ’22, Bernardo Lujan-Lalieu ’25, Will Kainen ’22, Thomas Bowers ’22, David Bowers ’24, and Ryan Piela ’23.
