Athletic Commitment Day

Suffield recognized 25 talented senior athletes at the year’s final college athletic signing ceremony on April 14. The group of 25 joined six previously recognized athletes who earlier in the year committed to playing sports at the collegiate level. The 31 student-athlete sum encompasses over a quarter of Suffield’s senior class.

Co-Director of Athletics Drew Gamere ’93 led the ceremony and noted, “We are very proud of this remarkable number of athletic commitments—not only for the number itself but also because of the diverse range of students, sports, and colleges represented among this group. Our athletes are set to attend 28 different colleges from all over the country—ranging from large state universities to small liberal arts colleges—and will participate in 12 different NCAA sports. We want to congratulate the parents and families of our athletes for this accomplishment and thank our 25 seniors for your commitment as Tigers and for the way you represented Suffield Academy throughout your time here.”
