From Suffield to Netflix

Griffin Santopietro ’24 is living his high school years a bit differently from most of his peers: he balances his time between being a student at Suffield Academy and an actor on Netflix's Cobra Kai.

On Cobra Kai, Griffin plays Anthony LaRusso, son of Daniel (Ralph Macchio) and Amanda LaRusso (Courtney Henggeler), which is a role he auditioned for and was cast in when he was only eleven years old. Griffin has appeared in all three seasons of the show and will reprise his role in Cobra Kai's fourth season. Some of his additional acting credits include The Week Of with Adam Sandler, the NBC series New Amsterdam, and the CBS series Bull.

At Suffield, Griffin had roles in SA's production of Clybourne Park and I Don't Want To Talk About It during the 2020-2021 school year. He joined Suffield's freshman class last year, following in the footsteps of both his brother Max ’21 and his mom, Kathy Moran Santopietro ’86. About his high school experience so far, Griffin said, “Suffield has already shown me how flexible a school can be and my teachers really get me. I’ve learned something different from all of them.”

See Griffin in Cobra Kai's season four premiere on December 31, 2021!
