Orientation & Tiger Games

The culminating event of Suffield’s orientation weekend—the annual Tiger Games—kicked off the 2023-2024 academic year. In their new roles as student body president and vice-president, Chastity Blair ’24 and Noel Rivera ’24 led the event as emcees in Tisch Field House. Students in all grades participated in a variety of class versus class competitions with the faculty cheering them on. New and returning students represented their classes on center court in a dizzy bat relay, sack race, Oreo challenge, hula hoop dance-off, three-legged race, and more.

The score was close throughout and while the Class of 2024 certainly led the way with their enthusiasm and pride in Suffield, the Class of 2026 was victorious after a thrilling game of basketball knockout to conclude the events. Noel said, “Tiger Games is my favorite Suffield tradition. It’s fun, energetic, and brings the community together. I’m honored to have been able to be in the center of it all.” Chastity added, “This weekend was such a strong start to our year and I can't wait to help lead the student body with a great team.”Tiger Games set the stage for many more spirited campus events as the fall term unfolds.
