Senior Celebration Day

Senior Celebration Day

Suffield’s Offices of College Counseling and Alumni Development joined the Class of 2021 in honoring Senior Celebration Day on May 7. Members of the Class of 2021 were invited to the Hoffman College Counseling Center to share food, gifts, and cheer while the countdown to Commencement reached only 21 days. The 116 graduating seniors will matriculate to 83 different colleges and universities this fall.

A four-year senior from Tolland, Connecticut Megan Swanson commented, “I think I speak for all the seniors when I say that it was a bittersweet day. It was rewarding to pin our names and schools on the map and see our classmates proudly wear their college apparel, but it is sad to think our time at Suffield is quickly coming to a close. We all have exciting futures ahead of us, but Suffield is a really hard place to leave. I’m grateful for the opportunities like this one to spend some time with my classmates and celebrate our accomplishments before we head our separate ways.”

Eugenie Davis from Bangkok, Thailand added, “I had a once-in-a-lifetime experience here and am now able to succeed because of Suffield. As I sit back to relive my most memorable moments at Suffield and the friends I made, for them I would do my high school experience a thousand times over.”

Director of College Counseling Ann Selvitelli P’20, ’22 concluded, “It was a great and festive sunny day to celebrate our seniors' college choices and kick off the final 21 days for the Class of 2021!”
