Spring Parents’ Weekend

Spring Parents’ Weekend

Suffield had a wonderful spring parents’ weekend on April 19 and 20. Parents joined their children for academic classes, enjoyed lunch in Koo Dining Room, met with advisors and college counselors, and had the opportunity to attend parent seminar meetings focused on the academic program and course selection, college athletic recruiting, and counseling and mental health programs. Several home athletic contests added to the spirit of the weekend.

Following a great day on campus, the annual Parents’ Association Auction was held on Friday evening. It was a beautiful event featuring 159 silent and live auction items. Before dinner, Head of School Charlie Cahn shared comments about Suffield’s past, present, and future, highlighting our extended community’s commitment to shared core values. Getaways to terrific destinations, golf outings, Head of School for the day, and many other items were auctioned live to support Suffield’s new tennis center project. Over 800 raffle tickets were sold for the 2024 Ford Bronco and a lucky alum from the Class of 1961 had their name picked by Hillary Cahn ’88. It was a fantastic evening celebrating Suffield and a special spring weekend on campus.
