Suffield Golf Outing

Suffield Golf Outing

Suffield Academy’s annual golf outing took place at Suffield Country Club on September 23. More than 50 alumni, parents, and friends came together on the sunny, windy fall afternoon.

The event was played in a scramble format and included contests for putting, longest drive, closest to the pin, and a hole-in-one car contest. Participants received several Suffield Academy items including golf towel, hat, golf balls, and surprise Suffield Academy gear. A dinner at the club concluded the event.

Paul Dean ’84 was part of the Class of 1984 team (Kevin Kinne, Scott Owsiany, Leo Chappel) that has been playing in this tournament for over 10 years. Paul reminisced about all the years they have been playing together and said, “I love playing golf in the Suffield event with my classmates. It is all about having the opportunity to spend a great day on the course with these guys year after year.”

Kevin Kinne ’84 was randomly chosen to take the $1,000,000 hole in one shootout before dinner but used up all his great shots on the course.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the event again next year!
