Suffield Welcomes New Faculty

Suffield is pleased to welcome five new members to our community this year. The following profiles offer a brief introduction. Appearing in order from left to right are Kristina, Robert, Christian, and Jem. Alicia will arrive on campus in September.

Kristina Braithwaite joins the science department with a master’s degree in educational leadership from California State University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Trinity College. Kris has coached tennis and taught in California and at Taft and Choate. She will be a dorm parent in Hornick and coach tennis.

Robert Braithwaite joins our Languages department and will coach and be dorm head in Hornick. Rob has a master’s degree from Brandman University and a bachelor of arts in English Literature from Oberlin College. He has taught in California and Bulgaria.

Christian Brown joins our English department and has previously worked in content marketing and social media since graduating from UMass Lowell in 2019. Chris also worked for several summers as a youth educator at WEATOC, a multicultural peer and youth development nonprofit in Boston. In addition to teaching, Chris will be a coach and dorm associate and help with strength and conditioning programs.

Jem Bullock joins the Languages department and is a graduate of Bates College where he majored in French. He participated in a full immersion experience at the Institute for the International Education of Students in Nantes, France and also attended the National Outdoor Leadership School. Jem was captain of the swimming, diving, and water polo teams. He will help our aquatics programs and SOLO and be a dorm associate.

Alicia Landry joins our English department. She majored in English and African American Studies at University of Massachusetts, graduating in 2020. Alicia has worked at the Steppingstone Foundation Summer Academy, WeSpire, and Brookline High School. She played basketball competitively for many years and has coached basketball as well. Alicia will teach, coach, and be a dorm associate.
