The Rachel R. Carey Award
Suffield Academy is proud to announce this year’s recipients of the Rachel R. Carey Spirit Award. The award goes to Lauren Carey from Suffield, Connecticut and Ben Warner from West Simsbury, Connecticut.
Rachel was a talented scholar-athlete from Rocky Hill, Connecticut who tragically died in an automobile accident in 2003. Now in its 19th year this award is given annually to students in the junior class whose commitment to team sports personify the spirit and sportsmanship that Rachel Carey exuded. They give everything they have to Suffield Athletics, while being both a good person and a true teammate.
