Suffield Teams Head South

Suffield Teams Head South

Ahead of the 2025 spring season, two Suffield Academy teams traveled south to spring training programs in Florida.

The baseball team practiced at the iconic Jackie Robinson Training Complex in Vero Beach, Florida. Mason Lester ’25 reflected on the experience saying, “Traveling to Florida for preseason was an incredible opportunity for us to bond as a team. We had the chance to face off against teams from New Jersey, New York, and Wisconsin, which pushed us to focus, play hard, and most importantly, have fun together. Going 3-0 in those games gives us a huge confidence boost heading into the start of our season. As a new player, it was a fantastic experience and a great way to connect with my teammates. We’re all excited for what’s ahead.”

Suffield's softball team spent a week in Orlando, Florida preparing for the upcoming season. This marked the Tigers’ eleventh visit to the area in the past thirteen years. Returning player Kyla Brogan ’25 enthusiastically shared that the trip was incredible. “It was the perfect start to the season. We trained hard in the warm weather, but also had a blast together off the field. The trip really brought us closer as a team.”

Now back on campus, Suffield's spring athletics are in full swing. The spring sports schedule can be found here
