Head’s Travels
Head of School Charlie Cahn visited Shanghai and Beijing, China in early June 2025. In addition to meeting with students, parents, and alumni, Charlie made presentations about Suffield, American secondary schools, and the current higher education environment and issues related to student visas for international students. Charlie provided background information about what the nonprofit status most colleges and universities have means, and how schools receiving federal funding for research and financial aid have compliance obligations with various statutes. The conversations were wide ranging and engaging given the rapidly evolving landscape. Suffield looks forward to welcoming five new students from China to our community in the fall.
