Color Wars for NF Northeast

Color Wars for NF Northeast

Suffield Academy’s annual Color Wars brought a burst of energy and color to Bell Hill on Saturday, May 2. Proceeds from shirt and powder sales for this vibrant annual event supported this year's community charity NF Northeast.

Presented during the student charity voting process by Kaitlyn DeSiena ’26 and Ashlyn Wills ’26, Neurofibromatosis Northeast began as a grassroots organization dedicated to raising funds for research, increasing awareness, and supporting individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis. The genetic disorder causes tumors to form on nerves and impacts thousands of people nationwide.

As the sun set over Bell Hill, students gathered on the academic quad for the colorful celebration. Each grade tossed clouds of orange, blue, pink, and green powder into the air, creating a memorable scene against the beautiful sky. “Color Wars was such a success and an awesome way to conclude our fundraising efforts for NF Northeast,” shared Ashlyn. “On Saturday night the Suffield community raised more than $8,000 for this meaningful cause. It was so special to see everyone come together one last time, and we are incredibly grateful to all who participated in our efforts throughout the year.”
