Three Suffield Academy students—Justin Xu ’28 [violin], Bryson Carter ’27 [Mixed Choir], and Jordan Schreiber ’28 [Treble Choir]—earned spots at the 2026 Connecticut Northern Region Music Festival through a competitive November audition process. Auditions required challenging repertoire evaluated by professional music educators, with only the top performers invited.
Held at New Britain High School, the festival offered an intensive weekend of rehearsals under distinguished guest conductors. Students honed their technique, ensemble skills, and musicality while performing alongside peers from across the region. The event culminated in a formal concert showcasing their weekend’s work.
