Leadership Day

Suffield Academy is proud of its unique four-year Leadership Program designed to help develop individuals of integrity who aspire to make a significant and positive impact on the world. Each September students participate in activities emphasizing key leadership qualities that are then reiterated throughout the year in their Leadership courses. Each grade spent the day conquering various projects, courses, and adventures.

Grade 9: West Campus Welcome
Freshmen spent the day at the Courtney Robinson ’88 Leadership Center and Hillary Rockwell Cahn ’88 Balance Barn utilizing the ropes course, rock climbing wall, and participating in several mindfulness and yoga activities. 

Grade 10: An Afternoon at Sunrise Park
Sophomores spent the afternoon at Sunrise Park fishing, kayaking, hiking, playing volleyball, and more. They also made friendship bracelets and assembled hygiene kits for various charities.

Grade 11: Zip Into Your Future — Zipline Excursion
Juniors traveled to Storrs Adventure Park to zipline through treetop trails.

Grade 12: Senior Splash — White Water Rafting Adventure
Seniors rafted along the Deerfield River hosted by Crab Apple Whitewater.
