Suffield Boys Ski to Victory

Suffield’s Boys’ Varsity Alpine Ski Team captured the 2026 Brigham Ski League Championship, claiming the title in a two-race showdown featuring slalom and giant slalom. Representing Suffield at the varsity level were Patrick Bosma ’27, Ryan Jung ’27, Quinn Schwab ’28, Mojo MacMillan ’28, Jackson Ostrowski ’29, Charlie Hall ’27, Quinnton Bertera ’28 and James Steele ’28.

Following the championship races, the league honored the extraordinary career of Head Coach Hillary Rockwell Cahn ’88, who has announced she will step down after 30 years leading the program. Under her guidance, Suffield skiing achieved remarkable success, consistently fielding league championship teams and setting a standard of excellence across the Brigham Ski League. For the past 23 years, she has served as the dean of Brigham Ski League coaches.

Hillary is a member of the Suffield, Connecticut Athletic Hall of Fame, recognized both for her accomplishments as a Division I alpine ski racer at the University of New Hampshire and for her visionary leadership of the Suffield program.

In tribute to her lasting impact, the Brigham Ski League announced the establishment of the Hillary Rockwell Cahn Cup, which will be awarded annually to the league’s champion girls’ team — a fitting legacy for a coach whose influence will continue to shape the sport for generations.
