Suffield enjoyed a wonderful Spring Family Weekend on April 25 and 26. The 25th Annual Parent’s Association Auction took place on Friday evening and was a festive and spirited celebration filled with delicious food, meaningful connections, and a lively auction featuring fantastic items.
The evening began with entertainment by talented Suffield musicians, followed by a high-energy rendition of 96,000 from the cast of In The Heights. Guests enjoyed a variety of dinner stations before Head of School Charlie Cahn welcomed everyone and shared reflections on Suffield’s past, present, and future.
During the live auction, Director of Development Phil Riegel ’87 introduced this year’s Fund-A-Need: the Cahn Scholars Program. Created in honor of Hillary ’88 and Charlie Cahn’s inspiring and incredible impact on the Suffield community, the program aims to carry forward their legacy by supporting students who embody the values of kindness, respect, leadership, and effort. It was a fantastic evening that captured the warmth, generosity, and strong school spirit of the Suffield community.
On Saturday morning, families stepped into the classroom alongside their children, experiencing dynamic chemistry labs, trying their hand at the ceramics wheel, participating in lively history discussions, and tackling challenging math problems before attending lunch and athletic events. It was a joyful and memorable spring weekend on Bell Hill.
