2026-2027 Student Leaders

As the 2026–2027 academic year approaches, Suffield Academy’s Student Council leaders are eager to build upon the traditions, energy, and sense of belonging that define life on Bell Hill. Focused on strengthening community and creating meaningful experiences for students, this year’s representatives are excited about the opportunities ahead. We asked them a few fun questions, and below is some of what they had to say.

Cecilia Hellandsvik ’27 [Oslo, Norway] · Student Council President
Cece believes Suffield already has incredible school spirit, and she hopes to build upon what already makes the community so special through fun events like Tiger Tailgates and engaging weekend programming. She is especially passionate about cultivating a stronger sense of community by being intentional in everyday interactions and making Student Council meetings approachable and welcoming for all students.

Dasha Casado Reyes ’27 [Hartford, Connecticut] · Student Council Vice President
Dasha is excited to help set the tone for the year by embodying Suffield’s core values and encouraging students to become involved in the community in whatever way feels meaningful to them—whether through Spirit Committee, attending games and events, or simply showing up for one another. She is especially looking forward to bringing back Suffield’s Amazing Race and helping create the kinds of experiences that make student life memorable.

Loisa O'Reilly ’27 [Steamboat Springs, Colorado] · Boarding Student Representative
Loisa hopes to further strengthen the close-knit boarding community by introducing dorm-versus-dorm competitions and a holiday dorm decorating contest. One of her favorite aspects of Suffield is the family atmosphere within boarding life, and she is excited to enhance that experience even more.

Dev Anand ’28 [Suffield, Connecticut] · Day Student Representative
Dev is focused on continuing to ensure that day students feel fully involved in all aspects of campus life. One of his favorite Suffield traditions is Color Wars because of the way it brings students from all grade levels together for fun and connection. His favorite place on campus is the dining hall during meal hours, when the energy is high and students have the opportunity to catch up with friends they may not otherwise see during the day.
