Tigers in the Postseason

The girls’ varsity basketball team secured the #1 seed in the NEPSAC Class B Tournament, where they faced a talented St. George's School team that ultimately advanced to the semifinals. Suffield's team concluded the 2024-2025 season with a 16-6 record.

The boys’ and girls’ swim teams delivered exceptional performances at the 2025 New England Division I Championship, under the leadership of first-year head coach Pat McDevitt. With multiple top finishes and numerous individual accolades, the team showcased impressive effort and talent. Congratulations, Tigers.

Boys’ Results:

·John Rusnock ’25 earned the NEPSSA Babcock Award for Most Outstanding Male Swimmer for the second consecutive year, joining an elite group of only four swimmers to achieve this. He won all four of his events [200 IM, 100 Fly, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay] and will graduate with New England records in the 200 IM and 100 Fly, along with several Suffield Academy records in the 200 IM, 100 Fly, 100 Back, 100 Breast, and 200 Freestyle Relay.

·Blake Wool ’26 captured gold in the 100 Freestyle, 200 Free Relay, and 400 Free Relay.

·The 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay teams, comprised of John Rusnock ’25, Blake Wool ’26, Matthew Pinzon-Pacheco ’25, and Kellen Booth ’25 won gold in both events.

Girls’ Results:

·The Andy Lowe Award was established to be given to a female and male student-athlete at the Division I Championships who best embraces the values of generosity of spirit, humility, and relentlessness—values embodied by Coach Lowe throughout his 43 years at Suffield Academy. Maeve Selvitelli ’25 received the 2025 NEPSSA Andy Lowe Award—a testament to her outstanding character and dedication.

·The 200 Free Relay team comprised of Sydney Amerson ’25, Iza Zajac ’25, Maeve Selvitelli ’25, and Ashlyn Wills ’26 captured a bronze title.
