This winter, many teams should be greeted with a cheering fan section ready to see our tigers compete. The girls’ basketball team is showing outstanding performance, definitely making students anticipate successes. This group of girls, led by Lauren Carey ’22 and Hannah Van Dyke ’22, started their season strong with a 6-win 2-loss record. Alongside the captains—one junior, five sophomores, and three freshmen—are putting in the work to continue their winning streak.

The team has had long days in the gym and is working hard on defense and offense to put them where they need to be. Shooting drills, agility work, defense runs, lifting, footwork, and more are bringing this team up to the top. Junior Ellie Collier describes the team as hard-working, determined, and motivated. So, as the season continues, make sure to go to their games and express support to this hard-working group of athletes playing to represent the school proudly and win.
