Ask any Suffield student, alum, or parent about the school and you will quickly hear about the strong sense of community. The bonds students make with each other and with the faculty rest at the heart of the Suffield experience. No space on the Suffield campus better supports this core feature than Brewster Hall. Having the school community gather each day for sit-down, family-style lunch is a signature tradition. Many alumni get sentimental when recalling this experience. So, too, is spending time with peers in the student union.Originally constructed in 1960, and seemingly timeless in beauty, Brewster Hall was was given a $15 million expansion and renovation in 2016 to best meet the needs of Suffield's 410 student enrollment. Brewster rests in the very center of Suffield’s campus—linking the academic and residential quadrangles. The building houses the dining room and kitchen upstairs, and the Landis Student Union with snack bar, bookstore, mailroom, and locker areas on the ground floor.
