Suffield JV 55
Eaglebrook  70

In the Tigers' home opener, Suffield hosted a highly competitive Eaglebrook squad. In the first event, Eaglebrook "A" blasted out a very fast winning medley relay, but the Tiger "A" foursome (Andrew Budge, Daisy Fauver, Amanda Kikonyogo, Ryan Lunsford) grabbed second place. The "Bs" (Abby James, Gavin Mastella, Casey Eskridge, Jordan Slade) were closing fast on the field, finishing in fourth place. In the 200 free, Neil Budge swam to third place, Jenna Daly to fourth, and James Muslu notched fifth. In the taxing 200 individual medley, Andrew Budge nearly caught the lead Eaglebrook swimmer, and finished second, and Kikonyogo swam to third place. The 50 free sprint found Lunsford and Slade securing second and -- place, with Fauver grabbing the fifth place point.

Diving, always a strong suit for the Tigers, again put lots of points on the board for the Orange. Freshman Emma Krasemann scored an all time top 25 mark of 224.95 points, and teammates Grace Reeves (131.15), Becca Bauer (125.65), Julia Cotteleer (121.45), Anna Wilcox (99.80), and Renee Sanders (46.85 - 2 dives) all dove successfully in their first outing of the season.

It was the Tiger lasses vs. the Eagle lads in the 100 fly.Kikonyogo finished in third and Eskridge fifth. Next up: the 100 freestyle, with Lunsford (second), Slade (fourth), and Blaire McGavin (sixth) dueling the visitors for points. The 500 free was not contested; the backstrokers raced in the next event. Andrew Budge swam to second place, and Abby James to fourth. In the final individual event of the day, the 100 breaststroke, Neil Budge earned third place, Daisy Fauver was fourth, and Gavin Mastella touched in fifth.

Eaglebrook won the two freestyle relays and finished strong, leading them to a 70-55 victory.
