Marc Elliot on Resilience

Marc Elliot spoke at Suffield on December 10, 2012 to talk about life with Tourette Syndrome (TS). For the past 20 years, Marc has struggled to control the tics and outbursts that come with the disorder as well as the judgment he inevitably receives from other people.

Marc has spent the last several years traveling extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad to talk to schools and other organizations about TS and the importance of tolerance. His motto "Live and Let Live" reminds everyone to be kind and compassionate because we never know what inner battles people may be dealing with in their lives.

Marc recently completed human potential courses in New York with the intent to grow as a person. Miraculously, he discovered that the course somehow alleviated him of his TS symptoms. He is only a few months away from being tic-free. Marc is a true example of how resilience and perseverance can overcome any adversity and he continues to inspire everyone he meets.
