Students Showcase Their Talents as Vocalists and Musicians
Many Suffield students displayed their impressive musical talents at chapel on Monday, January 27. The show began with a performance by the Advanced Vocal Techniques and Staging (AVTS) class, as they sang "Revolting Children/When I Grow Up" from Matilda. Other performances included: the Advanced Jazz Band's performance of "All Blues" (Miles Davis), the Chamber Singers' rendition of "How Can I Keep From Singing" (arranged by Gwyneth Walker), the Women's Choir performance of "Seal Lullaby" (Eric Whitacre), the Chamber Ensemble's "Pleasant Moments" (Scott Joplin), the Tiger Lillies' cover of "Royals," and the Beginning Jazz Band's "In A Sentimental Mood" (featuring an electric violin!) and "Watermelon Man." The event served as a nice way for the Suffield community to see and hear the vast musical talents of their fellow students.
