The Duke's Men of Yale Perform at Chapel
The Duke's Men of Yale visited the Suffield campus for the first winter term Chapel presentation on Monday, December 8. Despite the fact that Yale is in the midst of winter exams, twelve young male a capella singers took time to perform enthusiastic renditions of popular songs by artists such as Miley Cyrus, Adele, John Mayer, Sara Bareilles, and Guster.
Performing Arts Department Chair Tom Dugan commented, "They had great stage presence and gave us a nice mix of classic and modern songs." Faculty member Chelsea Kane '09, who teaches Chamber Singers and Women's Choir, has asked her students to review the performance based on composition and originality. A Suffield male junior added, "They were amazing. I'm not really that into music but The Duke's Men of Yale made me curious about trying singing when I get to college."
It is no surprise that The Duke's Men of Yale has been around for over 60 years and has had numerous accolades celebrating its musicality and performance. This group of young men is passionate about their conviction to make people smile and feel good. For more information, visit: http://www.dukesmen.com/
