Thank you for supporting our Suffield Academy Tigers!
Suffield Academy held its 21st Annual Parents’ Association Auction online for one week from April 16 to 23. The 159 items donated and up for bid yielded $107 thousand in net proceeds to support the school’s ongoing pandemic-related initiatives. Past fundraising efforts have supported projects including renovations to the library and student union, a new turf field, and recently installed solar panel array. A total of 688 out of a possible 800 raffle tickets were also sold for a chance to win a 2021 Toyota Tacoma. The winner of the Tacoma truck was George Abatjoglou P’22.
Since its inaugural auction in 2000, the Parents’ Association has raised over $7 million in support of Suffield Academy. The event serves as yet another reminder that the work at Suffield is very important and deeply valued by parents, alumni, and trustees. A special thanks goes out to co-chairs Pam Caso P’19, ’21, ’21 and Allison Schmitz P’19, ’21 who have volunteered to chair the auction for the past three years. Next year’s Parents’ Association auction is expected to be once again held in person with some online aspects added to the program.
