MacBook Neo Recommendation
The MacBook Neo is an inexpensive option that may appeal to families looking for a lower-cost Apple laptop. However, as a new and largely untested device, we are unable to recommend it as a four-year machine at this time.
For students joining the Academy as post-graduate students or those who expect to attend for only one to two years, the MacBook Neo should be a suitable option for their academic needs.
If you choose to purchase a MacBook Neo, please ensure that you select the 512GB storage model, as it is the only configuration that meets the Academy's laptop requirements.
Computers are integrated into the daily life at Suffield Academy. All student are required to have an Apple laptop that meets our requirements. While we don’t recommend specific colors—those choices are entirely up to personal preference—AppleCare+ is required for all new students, with the exception of incoming seniors. This extended coverage offers important protection in the event of accidental damage or hardware issues. At the bottom of this page, you’ll find a section for optional Additional Accessories, including protective items and external storage options.
Each machine listed below is preconfigured to align with Suffield Academy’s laptop requirements.
