Andrew grew up near Boston and developed his initial appreciation for independent school education through his experience at a local independent middle school. He went on to graduate summa cum laude from Belmont Hill School in Belmont, Massachusetts, where he captained the varsity soccer team and ran varsity track. Andrew earned his bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College, graduating magna cum laude with a focus in biochemistry. At Middlebury, he worked as a laboratory teaching assistant in general chemistry, organic chemistry, and introductory physics. He also did organic chemistry research and worked as a theater production assistant.
Andrew teaches chemistry at Suffield, coaches soccer and track, serves as the dorm head of Brewster Hall, and advises the Political Action Club and the Cycling Club. He enjoys running, cycling, cooking, reading fiction, and watching classic films.
Jonathan attended Suffield Academy as a day student from West Suffield, Connecticut. An avid soccer player, he was a captain of the varsity squad, WNEPPSA All-Star named to the Connecticut Senior Bowl, starting midfielder for Connecticut’s Olympic Development Program, and recipient of Suffield’s George A. Butler Cup for Athletics and Sportsmanship. Graduating in 1996 as a member of the Torch Society, Jonathan majored in English and studio art at Wesleyan University.
Jonathan is passionate about art and specializes in a unique style of pastel painting. He also worked in the aerospace industry as a technical writer before joining Suffield’s Department of Marketing & Communications as a writer in 2015. Jonathan also teaches English and coaches soccer.
