The coaching staff is committed to inspiring our young female players to become their very best on the court, in the classroom, and in life. We expect our girls to function as one unit. Working together, supporting each other, and placing the well being of the group ahead of self-interests are some of the values we hope to instill in every player. As a team we may face opponents with more talent but we will never be out hustled. We always strive to give 100%. We push ourselves everyday to improve the quality of our play, mental toughness, and physical condition. Our girls represent hard work, unity, and heart through all of their interactions on and off the court.
The Suffield Academy women’s basketball program has a rich history of success, including New England championships, players selected to the New England All-Star team each year, and a number of our girls have gone on to play at the college level to schools such as Colby, Umass-Lowell, Merrimack, and Trinity.
The Suffield Academy women's basketball team is thinking bigger even after having a banner season. We finished the 2017-18 season ranked #1 in Class "B" New England Tournament, before falling in the semi-finals. As in the past, we are staring at stiff competition and are excited about playing the best teams in New England. With some younger additions to the team, the girls look to form new bonds and function as a unit. The girls will focus on hustle and execution in aims to continue to improve and win a New England Championship.
